Permanent Hair Reduction (IPL)

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal permanently reduces unwanted hair from the face and body.

The energy from the IPL is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair and transmitted down the shaft disrupting the hair root growth in the active phase of growth, at the time of treatment. Studies have shown that patients can expect a permanent hair loss of 85% with an average of 5-6 treatments.

During treatment you can expect to feel a stinging sensation, similar to that of an elastic band flicking the skin. After treatment you can expect the skin to feel warm and the treated area to be a little pink, this will subside quite quickly. Treatment times and costs vary on areas to be treated.
